Respect for the audience, definitely. I think that reflects back on craft, because if they didn't treat the material "seriously", then they wouldn't be treating the audience seriously. And I agree, the lessons are done and done, but they're very natural to the story, obvious or not.

Hehe, the expressions. I think my favorite is Spike's at the end of Ep 3, after he gets his ticket.
