That was one thing I thought The Cell did really well, in showing the fractured state of a dreaming mind. The rest was basically a low-rate 7even with worse actors, but the scenes where characters traveled through another's mind had this confused yet vivid Jung-on-acid imagery that worked really well.

Funnily enough, this review (http://www.filmfreakcentral.net/screenreviews/inception.htm) also points out the disappointing normality of Inception's dream states, only a lot less politely. It's also what convinced me to wait for the rental, aside from not liking DiCaprio. :D
