A new meme type thingie I stole was introduced to by [livejournal.com profile] limiinal, called 30 Days of Writing. 30 questions, one answered each day; seems easy enough. These be the questions in question:

Ze Questions )

I was asked, days ago, why I waited until today to start this list. Simple; today is the 1st. This will be the 1st question. Seems to go hand in hand, no?

1. Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you've worked with and why.

I... don't know. I've worked with so many, in the past and currently, and rarely for an extended period of time, that this is hard to nail down.

I think I'm gonna go with the world Tigress and Amery Lampkin are in (because I think their in the same world, just different areas... maybe), mainly because the world, to me, is so open to what I can do to it. The fact that both are set to be open-ended for plenty of adventures means both get to travel far and wide and discover more about the land. They're even set to cover most surface area, Tigress covers the land parts, at least those she's close to, and Amery travels the seas and islands.

Oh ho, two posts in one day? I better not make a habit of this, least you think I'm able to keep up such a pace.

In addition to the 30DoW meme le thingie, two other things have begun themselves on this August of the first. Numeral one-o, I'm kicking into gear my workout plan. I'm not terribly out of shape or anything, but I miss being able to run 5+ miles and say, "Yep." My endurance is shot, and I'm hoping to get involved a bit in free-running; why, you probably aren't asking? Because it's cool beans, and I want those beans.

But my mentioned endurance lack of is beset by my other bad habit, one that I'm going to make an attempt of I've never attempted before attempted.

I'm going to go 30(+) days dry.

I'm a horrible drinker. There, I said it.

'Tis my folly. I love of the nector, and partake quite often. The stuff is just addicting, you can't help but enjoy it. Part of it's a money thing, when you buy multiple twelve and/or twenty-four packs, and can finish those off in less than 36 hours, it's a subtle hint you have a problem.

But it just tastes so darn good. Hell, I've survived days on nothing but the liquid. Hell, there's been weeks where I've just drank my breakfast. Then had a liquid snack. And another. Then lunch. Which was liquid.

I knew I needed to cut back, have for a while now, but for a long time didn't really want to. I didn't have a problem, in my mind, so I rarely felt the need to do anything about it. But I'm ready to give this a go. Up my workout routine, focus more on writing as well (guess that makes three things), and no more of the drinkie drinkie. Because I can prove to myself that I can.

Day one of no drinking. Here goes.

I am, of course, talking about my addiction to soda.
