ravenswept10. What are some really weird situations your characters have been in? Everything from serious canon scenes to meme questions counts!
I don't think I really have any; if I do, none of them are strong enough for me to remember. And I haven't participated in any memes that have required me to do something strange with my characters.
Part of it, I think, is that I grew out of doing weird for weird's sake some time ago. I still love weirdness, and my personal life has some pretty random happenstances and quotations now and then, but I don't go out of my way in writing to have it occur.
Mostly because it stands out when you do. Strange things can happen, and it probably pops out more if pointed out to you by someone else, but I dislike things happening that don't originate from the story. "Main Character meets eccentric person", "You must do this silly thing to be silly", unless it's a comedy and your headliner is Monty Python, you probably need to go back and see why you have what's going on going on.
Everything in context, I guess. But nothing I can think of that's left any impression.
