Bad Computer, No Cookie

ravensweptWell, I'm back in Portland, which is signifigantly less snow bound than my parents place. Just wet. A bit cold, but coming back from a place where we reached -10o, I'm not complaining.
What sucks, and I've just found out, is somehow I lost some files on my computer. It got left on when I left (I coulda swore I shut it off) and now I'm missing a few things. Most of it's nothing major, a new computer guy I took it too got it back up fine in less than an hour, but, and here's where I'm pissed, I lost my betas.
Gone, all of it. So now I have to start over, because of all the things that could be recovered, apparently those decided to skip town altogether. Shit.
So I am deeply sorry that my betas, to those I beta, will be delayed even moreso now (the first delay being I couldn't bring my laptop with me last week). So yeah. Not the best way to start the week.
